Claire Fryer
Counselling
Having faced my own struggles and painful experiences in life, the awareness I continue to develop through counselling, supervision and training, gives me the space and clarity to be as present as possible with you.
I welcome and feel privileged to work with clients who have a wide variety of reasons for seeking counselling, such as anxiety, trauma, addictions, loss and bereavement. My theoretical perspective is Humanistic. This means I draw on ideas from Gestalt, TA and Person Centred Therapy, according to the individual needs of each client. I believe in everyone's capacity for growth and change and often incorporate Brainspotting into my work, offering clients another level of depth, processing and integration.
I have more than 10 years experience as a counsellor. I am insured and a registered member of the BACP (the main regulatory body for Counselling in the UK) and I am mindful of their ethical framework.
